When most people think of wedding stationery, they just think of invitations (which is technically true). But truthfully, paper touches nearly every part of your wedding journey. From the moment you announce your date to the thank you notes you send after the honeymoon, your wedding stationery communicates, embellishes, and envelopes (no pun intended!) your special wedding season.
My goal for Emily Delafield Designs is simple: to make your wedding stationery feel cohesive, personal, and stress-free. Whether you’re looking for save the dates, a custom invitation suite, day-of signage, or even stationery beyond your wedding day, I can help bring your vision to life.
I like to break the wedding stationery into 4 parts, and you can mix and match to create your perfect experience. Let’s talk Save the Dates, Invitation Suites, Day-Of & Thank You Notes, and Beyond the Wedding Day paper.
Save the dates are often the first piece of your wedding story that your guests will see, and they’re the perfect opportunity to introduce the look and feel of your celebration.
Most of my couples choose a double-sided 5×7 save the date featuring engagement photos, your wedding date, wedding location, and wedding website. This stage is where we begin establishing the visual foundation of your wedding—selecting fonts, colors, and the overall aesthetic that will carry throughout the rest of your stationery.
The best part? You don’t have to manage the logistics.
I design your save the dates, order the printing, coordinate your envelopes, and provide printed guest addressing so you don’t have to handwrite dozens (or hundreds) of envelopes yourself. (Talk about hand cramps!!) I also provide stamps and envelope seals so everything arrives at your house, ready for assembly and mailing.
At this stage, all I need from you is:
From there, I take care of the details so you can focus on celebrating your engagement.
Invitation suites are where your wedding personality truly comes to life.
Every invitation suite is fully custom-designed around your wedding, your priorities, and your guest experience. After booking, you’ll complete a detailed questionnaire that provides all the information needed for your invitations, including:
From there, I create a custom 5×7 invitation card and build out the supporting pieces that make the suite uniquely yours.
Additional pieces can be designed as “insert cards” (smaller cards sent with your invitation) & may include:
Some couples prefer a simple, streamlined suite, while others want a more comprehensive guest experience. Both approaches are equally beautiful because the suite is designed specifically for your wedding.
Every invitation suite can also include:
One of my favorite parts of the process is helping couples create a suite that feels like an extension of their wedding day. Whether that’s incorporating watercolor artwork, unique textures, or meaningful details, this is where creativity shines.
Your wedding day includes far more paper than most couples realize. I break day-of into 4 general categories: menus, seating, wayfinding, attractions & specialty signing.
Beyond invitations, day-of stationery helps guests navigate your celebration while creating a polished and cohesive experience.
Menus can be displayed at each place setting or presented as larger signs near buffet stations and food displays.
Options to consider:
Helping guests find their place doesn’t have to feel boring.
I can create:
(All designed to coordinate with the rest of your wedding stationery!)
Wayfinding signage helps guests feel confident and comfortable throughout your event.
This may include:
Especially for larger venues or events held across multiple locations, these details can make a significant difference in guest experience!
Every wedding is unique, and sometimes guests need a little guidance toward the fun.
Specialty signage may include:
If guests need to know about it, I can create a sign for it!
Once the wedding is over, thank you notes become one of the final ways you connect with your guests.
I offer custom thank you cards that coordinate with the rest of your wedding stationery. These folded cards can feature wedding photos or stand alone with a simple design.
They typically include:
Many couples appreciate having these ready to go when they return from their honeymoon.
I’m happy to design paper goods for:
Your package can evolve throughout the planning process as new needs arise.
While weddings are a huge part of what I do, they aren’t the end of the story.
One of the greatest joys of this business is continuing to celebrate life’s milestones alongside my clients.
I also offer custom stationery for:
My hope is not simply to be your wedding stationer. I’d be honored to become your paper person for life!
Every wedding begins with a conversation.
When you inquire, we’ll sit down and talk through your event, your vision, and the experience you want to create for your guests. I’ll ask lots of questions, learn about your priorities, and then create three custom proposal options designed specifically for your celebration.
From there, you choose the package that fits your needs best—and then we get to the fun part: creating something beautiful together.
